1999 Larkin Cabernet Franc, Napa Valley - 91 Points

Larkin's 1999 Cabernet Franc is a sensational debut effort. This wine is extremely concentrated, full-bodied, and youthful. A purple color is accompanied by a stunning perfume of pure creme de cassis, blueberries, flowers, and high quality toasty French oak. It is rich and full as well as remarkably elegant and light on its feet with noticeable tannin. It will be at its finest between 2003-2016.

2000 Larkin Cabernet Franc, Napa Valley - 90 Points

Larkin produces Cabernet Franc at a level few California wineries are able to achieve. A sleeper of the vintage, the 2000 Cabernet Franc is a seriously endowed, floral, blue and red fruit-scented, medium-bodied offering oozing with flavor as well as potential complexity. This beauty should drink well for a decade or more.

2001 Larkin Cabernet Franc, Napa Valley - 92 Points

Similarly styled to the 2000, with more length, volume, intensity, power, and concentration, the beautiful 2001 Cabernet Franc exhibits aromas of flowers, blue, and red fruits, medium to full body, great balance/harmony, and a seamless, alluring finish. It should drink well for 10-15 years.

2002 Larkin Cabernet Franc, Napa Valley - 91 Points

A beautiful Cabernet Franc from this somewhat undiscovered source of terrific wines, Larkin’s 2002 is a wonderful successor to both their 2000 and 2001. A blend of 78% Cabernet Franc and 22% Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Sauvignon, it exhibits a dense ruby/purple color along with a sumptuous, rich nose of blueberries, red currants, flowers, and a hint of cedarwood. Sweet, opulent fruit on the attack, a beautiful tactile impression of plushness and overall harmony, fine purity, and nicely integrated oak, acidity, and tannin suggest this layered, impressively made Cabernet Franc should drink well for a decade.

2003 Larkin Cabernet Franc, Napa Valley - 90 Points

A brilliant Cabernet Franc, the 2003 possesses that varietal's tell-tale spicy, floral, blue and red fruit notes in the nose,. Medium to full-bodied but much lighter than the intense flavor suggests, it should be consumed over the next 5-7 years. This is a beautiful varietal when someone gets it as right as proprietor Sean Larkin

2003 Larkin Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley - 94 Points

The finest Cabernet Sauvignon yet from Larkin is the 2003, a big, bold, ballsy wine with broad shoulders, a dense ruby/purple color, and layers of smoky, charcoal-infused black currant fruit intermixed with high quality oak. It is a rich, full, savory, supple-textured Cabernet to drink over the next 10-12 years.

2004 Larkin Cabernet Franc, Napa Valley - 92 Points

Always one of the finest Napa Cabernet Francs made, Larkin's 2004 offers a beautiful, expressive nose of menthol, blueberries, raspberries, cherries, and licorice. In the mouth, the wine is deep, rich and medium to full-bodied, but light on its feet, with sweet tannin as well as a long finish. Drink this impressive Cabernet Franc over the next decade, although I would not be surprised to see it last much longer.

2005 Larkin Cabernet Franc Napa Valley - 92 Points

Larkin continues to demonstrate a brilliant touch with Cabernet Franc. The dark ruby/purple-tinged 2005 reveals this varietal’s intense fragrance of sweet cherries, raspberries, blueberries, bay leaf, and a hint of volcanic ash. Elegant in the mouth with impressive purity and fruit, medium body, and sweet, silky tannin, it can be enjoyed over the next decade.

2005 Larkin Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley - 91 Points

A dense, burly, muscular effort is the dark purple-colored 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon. Full-bodied with plenty of fruit, structure, tannin, and potential, it should be cellared for 2-3 years, and consumed over the following two decades.
